Noah’s Event Center Southfield Wedding

This year, my wedding season started off at Noah’s Event Center Southfield. It was my first time photographing at this location. I have shot at Noah’s Event Center before with Sam and Matt’s wedding and loved every minute of it. In fact, Sam’s prep shots are some of my favorite with the beautiful atrium of Noah’s in the background.

When I arrived at Noah’s Event Center Southfield, the room was all set up waiting to be photographed. Kate McClellan from Purple Clover Events was helping with last minute details. As I was wrapping up the detail shots, the bride and groom were arriving for their reception.

Amir and Naureen already had a wedding in Dallas for family and friends. Here, they were having a reception for local guests who were unable to attend. Before guests arrived, we decided to take a few photos of them as a couple to mark the event. Amir’s kind and gentle demeanor showed in his portraits while Naureen’s beauty was radiant.

It was a little brisk and the leaves were just starting to bloom on the trees. With just a few minutes, we didn’t venture far for their photos. Luckily, Noah’s Event Center Southfield served as a beautiful backdrop.

We walked across the street to photograph at a nearby building. While the location turned out to be a bust, I noticed a parking garage nearby. The image below utilized the directional light of the garage opening and the darker background to create a makeshift studio. This was one of my favorites from their day.

As we wrapped up our shoot, immediate family started to arrive. I set up some lights and turned the empty room into a makeshift studio, giving each family a series of images to enjoy and display.

After the formal portraiture, more guests arrived and began enjoying cocktail hour. Everyone was in a good mood and there was no lack of smiles and laughter.

Before dinner, Amir’s dad and sister shared some endearing (and slightly embarrassing) words about Amir. It was all in good fun.

Best wishes to you Amir and Naureen. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Your entire family was a joy to be around. Cheers!
